Primarily responsible for performing secretarial, clerical and organizational duties to support the discharge planning function. Responsible for maintaining all files, records and correspondence related to the discharge planning function under the direction of the Director Quality Resource Management. Computer skills and willingness to learn the discharge planning functions of the departments software applications is also essential. The Discharge Planning Assistant is cross-trained to perform the functions of the Department Secretary.
High School graduate with basic typing and word processing skills. Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Able to prioritize tasks with minimal direction. Ability to compose non-complicated correspondence. Position requires initiative and the ability to work well under pressure with interruptions. Windows based experience preferred with knowledge of Word. Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint helpful.
