Director of Medical Staff Services
Bethesda Hospital East & Bethesda Hospital West

Leadership, management and operational oversight of medical staff organization support services. Works collaboratively with the Vice President of Medical Affairs and the Medical Staff leadership (appointed, elected, volunteer, and paid) to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the programs and activities of the Medical Staff. Minimum of three years experience in an acute care medical staff management setting, preferably in a hospital. Demonstrates knowledge, skills and experience in the supervision of human resources, fiscal responsibility (capital and operations budgeting); excellent verbal and written communication skills, medical terminology, computer experience including database management, and working knowledge of The Joint Commission standards. Proven experience with interpretation, compliance and revision of Medical Staff Bylaws. Previous experience in implementation of disciplinary proceedings, fair hearings and due process for physicians.
Current certification as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS). #LI-SJ1
