Responsible for requisitioning, receiving, breaking down, and stocking of supplies used in the perioperative area. Works with Leader and staff to identify and implement supply/inventory improvement opportunities.
Minimum Job Requirements
One year of customer service experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs par level restocking of supplies in the perioperative area.
Submits supply requisitions in Lawson for assigned OR items and tracks status of deliveries through collaboration with Materials Management.
Receives, breaks down, and stocks perioperative supplies in OR suites and support areas.
Uses proper inventory management techniques such as rotating stock, checking for outdates, etc. to ensure appropriate stocking of supplies.
Collaborates with anesthesia, perfusion and other areas to ensure timely and organized management of supplies to these areas.
Collaborates with OR and SPD personnel to minimize stock outs of supplies.
Collaborates with clinical staff & Materials Management on maintaining supply reorder lists.
Assists management with departmental product & equipment evaluation.
Collaborate with Materials Management to maintain Lawson Item Master updated.
Identifies ways to improve inventory management, reduce supply expense, and ensure product availability in the perioperative area.
Maintains all work areas including stock areas clean and organized.
Assists with periodic inventory counts and participate on teams to discuss Lean initiatives for supply management.
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Ability to determine supply shortages and respond accordingly.
Knowledge of computers and the ability to learn appropriate software applications.
Ability to understand sterile technique in order to prevent contamination of sterile fields in the surgical suite.
